Robert
Deacon, or "Deacon" as his friends call him, doesn't get excited about much, except
when it comes to acting. Nothing, and I do mean nothing gets in the way of his work.
When he has an audition, he remains focused and spends his time preparing for the
role. No social event, date (and that's saying something for Deacon since not much
gets in the way of a date) party or presidential visit will drag him away from his
work.
Deacon is divorced, single and he doesn't plan to remarry. He has a great sense of humor and always has a good line for every situation. He took that to a live audience by doing stand-up comedy for corporate events. It seems the actor hasn't gotten off the stage yet.
His passion for performing began back in high school when he landed a role in a stage play. At the time, he had no idea there was a career to be had nor did he fathom he would one day be a professional actor.
But, he eventually took his creative talents further. He moved to South Florida and found out they were shooting a lot of movies there. His passion was rekindled and he jumped into the film and television industry with both feet. After countless bit parts, low pay (often no pay), his diligence paid off.
Look for "Suicide Blonde", recently released on DVD, at your local video store. "Suicide Blonde" is a great flick with lots of action. Actor Robert Deacon plays a rude and obnoxious character named Dogbreath in this one. He is quickly shutdown in a blaze of gunfire after ruthlessly beating a man with a bat.
And check out, "Backflash," another suspense thriller just release on DVD. He plays, Skull, a bumbling private detective tracking a double crossing woman trying to pull one over on a big time gangster.
Right now, Robert Deacon is living in the sub-tropics of South Florida. He spends a great deal of time watching movies and loves westerns. He watches films and television shows with an actor's eye.. taking in everything from the other actors performances to wardrobe. He doesn't miss a thing.
He'd like to perform in a western, but so few are made these days. It seems to be a dying genre that he has a passion for watching and a desire for living. He loves the mid-western part of the United States and often talks about moving there. Robert lived in Phoenix many years ago and he still talks about his passion for that area.
Deacon enjoys traveling and has driven from coast to coast taking in as much of the country as his wondering heart desired. He's generally a loner, but loves quiet company on his adventures.
Robert Deacon is quite a sensitive man with a big heart. His outer tough-guy appearance is often misconstrued, but to those who know him, know a gentle, loving guy who will bend over backward to be helpful.
